Re: Proposed Changes to DXCC for Remote Stations - Charge to DXAC
1. once per year.
a,b,c - you misunderstand the rule. This location is not your
preferred amateur radio remote service provider. Rather, it is a
geographical location with a circle TBD. 200km?

Designate one additional location to work DX from and have it count for DXCC.

I was addressing this message Ria, not the 50 mile limit one. Sorry I should have quoted it.

Re: Proposed Changes to DXCC for Remote Stations - Charge to DXAC
I quoted 50 miles as an example of what is in an existing ARRL award.
It was not intended to set a distance limit for Dave's proposal. I
thought I was pretty clear about that.

I believe Ria was addressing the Proposed rule relative to Remote Stations. No change to a QSO made anywhere in a DXCC country by the “traditional” method if operator and transmitter are together.

Re: Proposed Changes to DXCC for Remote Stations - Charge to DXAC
Succinct, reasonable, and fair it seems to me.
The distance is a challenge to determine, but seemingly not impossible. IMHO, 50 miles is way too small an area. It takes at least 100-200 to get out

Its all well and good to recommend/suggest ideas in this forum.....HOWEVER......what you really need to do is contact your division director and DXAC rep and make your feelings known....

Hi Dave,
The WAS circle was an example of an award that had a limited area. I
did not mean that your proposal had a 50 mile limit.

+ AA6YQ comments below
AA6YQ's suggestion was:
Keep the rules as-is
AND
Offer a "single location endorsement" that says that you worked all DX from one small circle. This would be similar to WAS

AA6YQ's suggestion should be the one DXAC approves and sends to the board for their approval.

AA6YQ nailed it.
Simple solution which preserves the valid and legitimate interests of the conservatives and purists, yet doesn’t impose arbitrary restrictions on others.

Thanks Ria,
We sometimes lose the focus of the mission of the ARRL. Whatever our biases.
I don’t know the real numbers, but it could be that the majority of the youth of today just aren’t
