I use both FT8 and FT4. I don't see the point of seeking awards for both. But, after one achieves WAS on FT8, I guess FT4 is another way to do the same thing over. It is not a technical achievement

It is unacceptable that the awards department is not a profit center. I hope our new CEO can bring some change in that area. We pay for the awards and they are not cheap. I doubt

Yes, you're correct. LOTW was an in-house development using ARRL IT personnel, and Dave Bernstein has pointed out that the project was constantly strapped for personnel, development

OK. Maybe expecting ARRL/LoTW to keep track at that fine a resolution for everyone is asking a bit much, but as I said, I don't use any digital mode except RTTY ... well, and CW.

Likely since it is not needed to fulfill the job of the system and they do not have the money to implement something that is not needed, that is just a WIBN.

“Mode by band” for WAS has three awards for each band. Phone, CW, and Digital. The “Digital” award (by band) covers EVERY digital mote. No digital mode gets an “individual” by-band

The “A” stations are the highly skilled operators. They need to be good listeners and
