I guess... for the basic awards emailed qsls should be allowed.
People just gotta ruin stuff. For the casual operator who doesn't keep much of a log, it would be nice to use emailed qsls.
Paperwork takes too much of the fun out of operating for me to bother except when specifically requested. My interest in awards is only as a consequence of confirming contacts and qsls for others.
Just my opinion.
LOTW is a PIA.
Thanks for the info... I get it. I just like to see it easier for more people to get involved.

That’s correct.
It’s easier to detect a forgery on an original card. It’s not as easy to detect it on a scanned and emailed card.
A simple thing like adding a dot and removing a 1 so that a 17m card becomes a 160m card is a prime example. This is hard to go undetected with handwriting. It’s very easy to do with photoshop.
Card checkers are trained to spot forgeries. They do it all the time. Also when in doubt they will send a card to the DXCC desk and they will make a final decision. I know of a couple of people who were disqualified from DXCC for forgeries that
were revealed upon closer examination.
Cards and callsigns from rare entities are known. So they will be able to spot a forgery like a sore thumb. They do ask for verification that you’re licensed to operate there.
Also, cards that were altered in any way, even in obvious ways, for example the originator of the card crossed out information and corrected it, will likely be rejected or sent to HQ for further scrutiny.
Members have invested thousands, even millions to attain their DXCC numbers and there is a high level of trust (relatively speaking) because of the integrity of the program.
It may seem excessive to some but for many the chase is worthwhile for many because ARRL goes through the trouble of verifying all claims of DXCC award eligibility.
So it is what it is.

Only confirmation proof that are accepted are LOTW or physical cards checked by HQ or an authorized card checker or awards manager (awards manager for WAS and some other awards).
Emailed cards or logs (except via LoTW) aren’t accepted.

Scanned and Cards are absolutely not accepted for any awards.
The best way to get them checked is to use a local card checker and they will check them for you. This way you don’t have to travel far or expend postage.

I’ve spoken to him.
He definitely does not support deleting anything. He does like to make activations happen, as do many hard core DXpeditioners. He finds people to talk to and make things happen. He has pretty good diplomacy skills. :)

Agree with Gary. The Summits On The Air group decided that, while a particular valid summit might be on private or native land and inaccessible, or possibly a bombing range for military training
if you live in Nevada, that can change and inaccessibility is not grounds for removal from the summits registry. Admittedly, there are vastly more summits worldwide that meet the SOTA requirement [150 m prominence] than there are DXCC entities, so the idea
of "Climbing or Working All Summits" is just a pipedream, but I think the concept is still valid. Alpine County CA has no active hams [actually, it is close to having no people], yet NCCC still offers the Worked All California Counties award ... there's always
one or two teams that activate it during Cal QSO Party, and an occasional mobile will drive through.
Clinton DeSoto's original DXCC proposal was "work and confirm 100 countries." There are way more than 100 available countries [or entities in today-speak] for anyone who wishes, which I finally did after ~50 years, to get DeSoto's DXCC award. The concepts
of 100 or more on each band or mode, and working them all, came after as the award grew in importance. I view those pursuits as semi-separate from DXCC. I would suggest not tinkering with it. Full disclosure: Two of my 150 mixed are BS7H and Czechoslovakia,
neither of which are available or likely ever will be to someone starting out today.
My DXCC certificate [kind of impressive, nice wood frame from Target] has the 150 sticker on it. I may work a few more over what time I have left [81 today], but working them all is a task that I won't have to confront.

The challenge to work EZ or P5 includes the challenge of convincing the authorities that amateur radio is at worst benign, and in some ways beneficial for them. Getting operating permission and the correct paperwork from
the relevant authorities is part of the battle to reach the summit – just as chartering a ship, braving the roaring forties and scrambling up ice cliffs with the gear and supplies is part of the battle to activate Bouvet, Heard or Peter islands.
You seem to believe EZ will never be activated, at least not in your lifetime or mine for that matter. I’m more optimistic, idly wondering what, if anything, the global amateur community can do to help surmount the obstacles
