One of the depressing things about leaving entities on the list that not active and may be decades before they become active is the fact that someone puts up a big station, dedicates a lot of $$ and time to achieving Top of the Honor Roll and dies before he gets there.
+ Every DXer should understand that no amount of spending on antennas or equipment and no amount of study and practice will *guarantee* reaching the Top of the Honor Roll. Many DXers choose to purse this objective anyway; their willingness to do so says something about their character.
So I guess a lot of getting there is when you were born and how long you live.
+ Every current DXCC entity was workable and confirmable during the 18 years between 1990 and 2008.
